We started a new Drywall Installation and Drywall Taping Project on Acton Avenue, Toronto on the 28th of January

Scope of work, simple: Installation of Drywall and Taping of New Drywall.

Residential Drywall Installation and Taping Project STARTED on Evelyn Avenue, Toronto

On the third week of January, we began a new Drywall Installation and Drywall Taping Project.The residential site is located on Evelyn Avenue, Toronto.

Here is the Scope of Work:

Purchase and delivery of materials
Garbage Bin

2ND FLOOR

Demolition of plaster from all wall surfaces
Demolition of dropped ceiling in South-West bedroom
Demolition of doors, trims, casings, baseboards
Removal of finish flooring in bathroom—all other flooring remains
Installation of new 1/2 inch regular drywall, blue drywall in bathroom
Add drywall over existing plaster ceilings in all rooms
Taping, mudding and sanding of entire area

1ST FLOOR

Demolition of plaster from entire area including ceilings and walls
No removal of any structural walls
Demolition of doors, trim, casings, baseboards
Demolition of non-structural walls in Easters addition space ONLY and removal of tub, sink, built-in cupboards
Removal of the finish flooring
Move kitchen cupboards and appliances to basemen
Installation of new 1/2 inch regular drywall on all areas
Taping, mudding and sanding of new drywall

BASEMENT

Removal of existing non-structural partition walls, and built in shelvin
Remove plaster on existing North-South partition wall east of furnace
Installation of new, blue drywall on external basement walls over new insulation
Installation of drywall on ceiling and around ducts
Taping, mudding and sanding of entire area
Disposal of construction debris
No carpentry included

DEMOLITION began on the third week of January and is now COMPLETE, take a look at the images of the site before and after demotion:

Drywall Taping RESIDENTIAL Project STARTED on Humbervale Blvd

Here is a drywall taping project that we just started on January 16th for drywall installation and drywall taping.
The location of this site is on Humbervale Blvd. Toronto on the intersection of Bloor Street West and Royal York Road.

This is a house with second floor addition, so we have some renovation job as well as new construction drywall installation and taping.

There are three levels: basement, 1st floor and 2nd floor. We will be performing work on all floors.

Here is a quick overview of the scope of work:

Upper Floor:
Installation of Drywall ceiling board on ceiling
Installation of ½ inch regular drywall
North and South Side Wall: Installation of 5/8 inch x type drywall
Main Floor:

Installation of ½ inch regular drywall (inside walls and ceiling)

North and South Wall: Installation of 5/8 inch x type drywall
Skim cote on the walls in dining and living rooms
Showers and Kitchens: Installation of dense shield drywall
Basement:
Ceiling Installation of ½ inch regular drywall
Walls installation of ½ inch regular drywall
Dense shield for laundry room north wall
Basement Framing: wall in the basement
Some Framing:
Dining Room Ceiling bulk head—4 sides with angled corners
Angled corner wall in the kitchen to conceal the drain pipes in the corner
Build out for future mounting of 3 ductless A/C unit
Shim the walls in living room and dining room
Taping:
3 coats and sanded, ready for primer
One return visit for touch ups after primer is applied

The approximate time for this project is 10 labor days.

On January 16th we purchased and delivered all the materials to the site, carrying everything inside the house:

Site preparation is complete and on January 17th the real work will begin.

I will be updating everyone on the process of this project during the week and will be posting some photos of each phase

Drywall Taping COMMERCIAL Project STARTED in Roncesvalles Village

On January 16th we delivered materials to a commercial site for drywall and taping services. It is located on the corner of Roncesvalles Avenue and Howard Park Avenue.

Before Images:

This used to be a Dominion Bank Building of 2 floors plus basement level and now will be renovated into office space for a company called GEOSCAPE Contracting: http://www.geoscapecontracting.com/

Here is what will be performed during the 10 labour days:
2nd Floor:
·      Taping of new drywall (washroom and kitchen area)
·      Hallway and Staircase from second floor to first floor —skim cote on plaster
1st Floor:
·      Installation of corner bids
·      Skim cote on the walls
·      Taping of new drywall on ceiling
·      Skim cote of plaster on ceiling
Basement:
·      Taping of all new drywall (walls and ceiling)
·      Removal of construction debris in garbage bin
